Job description

Would you like to manage your own team of newspaper deliverers? Would you like to start working when the majority of the Netherlands is still asleep? Then this is the job for you! As a Depot Holder, you are responsible for making sure that the newspapers in your depot in Terschelling are delivered on time to their subscribers. Acting as the contact person for your own team of newspaper deliverers 6 days a week. Depot Manager is a stable job with fixed working days that you can easily balance with your other pursuits and interests. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING - The newspaper arrive at the port at 11:00 and your working day is finished around 14:00 (including deliveries in your area). Of course, it will take a bit longer in the beginning but once you have everything under control you will be finished around 14:00. - You count out the newspapers per newspaper area. - You will manage your team of newspaper deliverers and motivate them to deliver the right newspapers to the subscribers on time. - You ensure a good delivery quality. - You manage your own local network and expand it by being active on Facebook, for example. This comes in handy when you are looking for new deliverers. - If you have one or more newspaper areas without a deliverer, it is up to you to recruit new deliverers. - You are on standby to run a newspaper route if necessary. - Handling administration. - You deliver five newspaper areas. - You deliver the newspapers from separate outlets and various delivery companies.

WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO - Managing and motivating your team of newspaper deliverers. - Working with targets and objectives to improve quality. - Being proactive and dealing with unexpected situations. For example, newspapers that are delivered later due to malfunction. - Going out on your own to deliver newspapers. - Communicating - you like to build relationships with the team and to expand your network (always useful when you are looking for new newspaper deliverers).
